preparations...

i'm ok, just haven't been around in awhile... been working real hard on getting things lined up for twofivesix in 2007. we've got a big show coming up on 12/23 with papa vegas and the verve pipe and i want to make sure we're locked in tight.
besides, the winter holidays aren't usually the best time for me. i tend to be more emotional so i generally keep my distance from things if at all possible.
my Mom did finally get out of the hospital and she's at home recovering slowly. we're all obviously pleased to have her back home where she belongs. they say it's about a 90 day intense rehab schedule so hopefully things continue to go well.

on what off time i've found i haven't done much, basically catching up on missed episodes of house md and standoff. those are really the only two drama series i watch anymore and usually it's after they've been televised live. it's real funny when you think about it because my friend bobby plays guitar in a band with gregory house (hugh laurie) and a mixture of other primetime television stars. it's not quite the nostalgia of united for africa but it's along the same vain.

rod found hysteria by def leppard on vinyl the other day (a rare catch) and it took me and the guys to some cool places during the listen. you simply cannot go wrong with that album, period.

BJ's doing a lot of new things but one of my favorites is when your's truly bricks a shot from across the room, on his little tikes hoop... he's quick to say "uh-oh daddy" and put me in my place. guess that's why i was never destined for NBA greatness.
