*insert proverbial "miller time" reference here*

don miller (of blue like jazz noteriety) is speaking this weekend at mars hill and calvin college's fine arts center... hoping to check it out if time permits.
nothing extraordinary to report otherwise as it's been a long week... one which began with controversy amongst friends and shows signs of ending in the same fashion. i should point out that thankfully i am only a bystander in this conflict so i don't necessarily have to deal with the drama unless i choose... at the same time, i seem to have issues with doing what's best for me instead of what may be the most exciting of the available options.

fell asleep to the disc changer spinning some discs that i pulled from the shelf (where they had been placed in light of being spun an insane amount of times in their infancy) to reconnect with, in hopes it would bring fond memories of time(s) spent in the company of great music.
the selections in rotation were as follows:
death cab for cutie - photo album
ben folds five - self titled
sherwood - extended play
sara groves - all right here
mae - destination b-sides

the random play function can sometimes be met with very poor sequencing but as i recall, i was quite impressed with what i heard before falling into REM, and shortly following my return to this turntable of life.

men's group was intense this evening, much to contemplate...
